Tess Costil is an Auckland based artist with a bachelor of Design from AUT. Her art which melds fashion, illustration and photogrpahy touches on the world of surrealism forging an interplay between dreams and reality. The compositions calmly bend the laws of nature, displaying whimsical creatures and botanicas together in a contemporary explosive and playful way which aims at interesting magic into the mundane.

She is the creative director and youth mentor of The Heartspeak Collective, a program which provides workshops, mentioning, events and fashion/art works to raise funds, light and awareness for charities, people and projects. As a youth mentor she’s passionate about hands-on ways to help others willing to help themselves. Whether it be through learning, un-tapping, identifying and nurturing peoples creativity and potential or expanding and teaching them how to take advantage of others networks.
